Amin Pourbarghi is an award-winning director and screenwriter; born in Hamadan, Iran.

He became interested in cinema with his first presence in a short film when he was 9 years old. At the age of 16, after his graduation from the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, his artistic career began with his first short film, Sing and Dance.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Cinema, from Soureh University in Iran. In 2015, he studied master of Cinema Directing at Vienna University.

During these years he directed a number of short films and documentaries, which some won multiple awards in various festivals such as Visioni best documentary, Luksuz best documentary, Vesti best short film, to name but a few. He also has extensive experience of working at TV stations, photography, writing, editing, and occasionally teaching beside filmmaking.

Currently, he is working on his first featured movie, which he has dedicated years of his artistic life to its creation.
